 Our orphanage is one of the oldest institutions for orphans in Ukraine. It was founded on April 7th, 1918. You can learn more about our orphanage in the "ABOUT US" section. 

Kharkov Regional Specialized Orphanage #1 is a specialized institution for health, education and social care of orphans and children without parental care who have:

- structural lesions of the central nervous system and musculoskeletal system;

- mental and behavior disorders;

- inborn aperiodicities, deformities and chromosome abnormalities;

- acquired defects of physical growth and development.

At present, there are 50 children between the ages of 2 months and 4 years living in the Kharkov Orphanage.

Various specialists are assisting children at the Orphanage:

• medical personnel – pediatrists, neurologists, psychiatrist, orthopedist, physical therapists, nurses;

• educators – teachers, speech therapists, psychologists, Montessori teacher, music instructor and

• administrative and maintenance staff.

The orphanage operates a "REHABILITATION center" on site. About 80% of our pupils are disabled and need special care.
